Sunken Kitchen gets UPLIFTED

This home is located in the St. George area of Baton Rouge. The homeowners updated their house with aging in place in mind. We pulled a multi-level floor design to a consistently level floor througout the house. This allows the clients to move about the house with ease and safety. We opened up the kitchen to more paths of travel. A non-functioning wetbar was updated by closing in a pass through and was converted to a much needed butler's pantry with wet bar amenities. The stone and backsplash from the kitchen cohesively ties into the new butler's pantry. Updated stainless steel appliances finish the look and counter to ceiling subway tiles brought the hood to the forefront. The neutral color palette was accented by the existing muted blue trim work.
