Recipe of the Month: September 2014

Grandmother’s Blueberry Pie


  1. Cream 3/4 cup of sugar with 1 stick of butter.  Read more about creaming here.
  2. Add the following:
    • 1 Egg
    • 3/4 Cup Flour
    • 1 Teaspoon baking powder
  3. Put this into buttered pie pan.  Cover with 8 oz. blueberries.  Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar on top.
  4. Bake at 350 Degrees for 30 minutes.  Make certain center is cooked.
  5. Serve topped with vanilla ice cream.
